Roof of West Odessa Church Destroyed after Fierce Fire

WEST ODESSA - The roof of a Church in West Odessa completely destroyed after a fire ripped through the attic.

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what started the blaze.

The two alarm fire broke out around 6:30 at a Church located at 5533 Mapp Street.

The roof sustained the majority of the damage.

Fire officials say the church was under construction.

There was no sign outside of the church.

Crews from the West Odessa Volunteer Fire Department and city crews battled the fire.

The Ector County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
