GAINES COUNTY - Some big changes are on the way for public offices in Gaines County.
On Monday, officials will meet to discuss renovations to their courthouse.
Right now, there's such a mineral build-up in the pipes that there's no hot water.
The courthouse was built back in 1919, and hasn't been renovated since the 1950's.
Gaines County Judge Tom Keyes says they're planning to remodel without raising taxes.
Also on Monday, officials will meet with architects about building options for the new jail.
The current jail is so crowded, the county is still sending large numbers of inmates to other counties.
Judge Keyes tells us it's expensive to house inmates in other areas, and by building a new jail it will save the county quite a bit of money.
