MIDLAND - Midlanders will have a new face on the City Council.

Jerry Morales won the at-large seat with 48 percent of the vote.

He'll be taking over the position after it was recently vacated by Bill Dingus.

Morales will be sworn in on August 5th, and will finish out Dingus's term.

Dingus won re-election to the At-Large seat back in March, but resigned in April so he could run for State Representative in District 82 against long time Incumbent Republican Tom Craddick this November.
