Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Midland

MIDLAND - A strange smell forced a Southwest crew to make an emergency landing at Midland International Airport on Sunday afternoon.

The flight heading from LA to Boston were forced to land just before three on Sunday afternoon when crews say they smelled fumes coming from the cockpit and cabin.

Officials tell us passengers told them it smelled like bugspray.

Emergency crews met the plane as it landed and helped 140 passengers de-plane .

The cause of the smell is still unknown.
