MIDLAND - It is that time of year when Midland firefighters grab their boots and head for busy intersections.
Midland's bravest were out on Thursday braving the heat and traffic in their annual effort to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The "Fill The Noot" campaign raised more than $100,000 last year, and this year they are trying to break that record.
"Our goal is a hundred and ten thousand dollars. It looks like Midlanders are being real generous. I bet we get there," Firefighter Lee Wise, said.
More 300 area families count on the MDA for help with medical bills.
The group helps children and adults affected by a number of neuromuscular diseases.
