MIDLAND COUNTY - Law enforcement officials say exploding black powder is getting the blame for a fire near Greenwood on Thursday evening.
That's according to the Texas Forest Service.
The flames sparked up near the Midland Police Shooting Range around five.
The fire threatened two buildings, but they were saved.
In all, it took about an hour to put out the blaze.
Only 10 acres were burned.
It's not clear whether the black powder came from guns being shot at the range.
