MIDLAND - The Secret Service is now investigating a Midland man.

38-year-old David Wayne Kingery is accused of writing and passing off fake checks.

The Midland Sheriff's Office says he passed at least $100,000 worth of them, and investigators think that amount could grow.

Now the Secret Service is looking at the case.

We're told Kingery printed the checks on a computer using local buinesses on the checks, and cashed them at local banks and check cashing stores.

Bond for Kingery has been set at $35,000.
