WELCH - A West Texas town is dealing with a water emergency.
The small Dawson County town of Welch is almost completely dry.
The pumps for the Welch Water Supply Corporation are only pumping air at times leaving citizens without water.
According to the Lamesa Press Reporter, the pumps must shut down to allow the well time to recharge.
Dawson County commissioners will consider an emergency declaration on Tuesday. That would speed up the process to repair or replace the community's water supply.
