JEFF DAVIS - The fire burning in Jeff Davis County is now 95 percent contained.
Crews say they're watching the fire lines, they managed to cut around the entire perimeter of the fire over the last few days.
The total acreage burned held steady from Friday evening at around 43,000 acres.
It all started Wednesday afternoon with a spark from a tool used by a Union Pacific crew repairing an area of track.
The wind quickly pushed the fire from Presidio County into Jeff Davis County.
Union Pacific crews confirm the railroad company was issued a citation.
A representative says over the next few days they will work with local law enforcement to figure out exactly what went wrong and what can be done to keep it from happening again.
They've already been working with land owners to pay for damages.
