ODESSA - State Representative Buddy West has been upgraded to serious condition after collapsing in a restaurant last week. He remains at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
West went into cardiac arrest while having dinner with his family Thursday night. He has spent the past week in critical condition.
Earlier this week, West was showing signs of improvement. He's been more responsive and has been removed from a respirator.
West has represented District 81 since 1993 which includes Ector, Andrews, and Winkler Counties.
