Man Stabbed Outside Odessa Store

Police say 50-year-old Mark Friedel of Odessa was stabbed several times in the upper body. He was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he is being treated.

ODESSA - A man is in custody after a stabbing at an Odessa Town and Country store.

The stabbing happened just before 4:00 Friday afternoon at the Town and Country in the 300 block of South Grant.

Police say 50-year-old Mark Friedel of Odessa was stabbed several times in the upper body.

He was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he is being treated.

Police arrested 62-year-old James Brance Boykin at 3rd and Lincoln.

Boykin has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
