SAN ANGELO - They were kicked out of the FLDS years ago. Now, they want custody of their kids.

Those kids were among the 460 children taken from the Y-F-Z Ranch near Eldorado, amidst allegations of abuse.

59-year-old Arthur Barlow drove to San Angelo from Utah to seek custody of five of his children, who lived at the fundamentalist compound.

Barlow and Frank Johnson were both excommunicated from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Barlow says his 35-year-old wife is a fit mother, but if the State says otherwise, he wants custody of the children.

He hasn't seen since them he was excommunicated four years ago.
