MIDLAND - If you were sweating in your home in North Midland, you can blame a wreck for that power outage.

ONCOR Rep Mike Nieto tells NewsWest 9 the electricity went out when a truck hit a pole and tore down some power lines.

That left hundreds of people in the dark, and shut down traffic lights.

Places like Midland Park Mall and the Hollywood movie theater were hit.

Employees have been working on the problem.

Neito says any time you have a power outage make sure to call your electricity provider about the problem.
