Big Spring Police Name Suspects in Triple Murder

BIG SPRING - Big Spring police have named suspects in a shooting that killed a man and a pregnant woman.  Both suspects are members of the Latin King street gang and both have outstanding warrants for deadly conduct. They also are considered to be persons of interest in the triple homicide in Big Spring on May 4th.

Police are looking for James Cole and Earnesto Trevino. Both should be considered armed and dangerous. Cole is from Lamesa and Trevino is from Lubbock.

On May 4th, 21-year-old Michael Cardona and 20-year-old Valerie Garcia were shot and killed in a drive-by shooting. Garcia was pregnant at the time of her death. The deaths came after weeks of gang violence in Big Spring.

Both suspects have left the Big Spring area and are believed to be hiding out in surrounding cities.
