SOCORRO, NEW MEXICO - New details on a double murder last week in Pecos.

New Mexico State Police say they've found the stolen truck of the man and wife who were killed.

It was last Wednesday when police say Richard and Alicia Cherry were murdered in their bar called D.J.'s Round-Up, and whoever stabbed them to death took off in their truck.

And on Monday, New Mexico State Police say they have recovered that Ford F-350 pickup early Sunday morning in Socorro.

It was found abandoned off I-25, near the side of the road.

Now, Pecos Police Chief Clay McKinney has sent an investigator to New Mexico to process the vehicle.

As NewsWest Nine first reported, Randall Lee Stephens is still a person of interest and police want to question him when he's located.

A municipal court judge also issued a warrant for Stephens, because he failed to register as a sex offender in Pecos.

Meantime, we're still waiting to get the results from the autopsy that's being conducted in El Paso.

Investigators also have sent some of the evidence there for DNA Testing.
