Substitute Teacher Facing Charges of Inappropriate Relations with a Student

MIDLAND - A Midland substitute teacher is out of jail, but is still facing charges for having inappropriate relations with a student.

According to Midland Police, John Anderson Williams repeatedly had inappropriate relations with a student from Midland Freshman, and it continued through the student going to Midland High School.

The victims parents filed a report back in February saying williams had been calling and texting thier child.

Police then issued a warrant for Williams' arrest at the end of April, but didn't find him until last Thursday.

When they went to pick him up he was substituting at Abell Junior High.

Williams has since bonded out of jail.

A court date is pending.
