Odessa Teen Upgraded to Stable Condition after Hit-and-Run Accident

ODESSA - An Odessa teen hit by a truck on Friday has been improving, and is in stable condition at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

The hit-and-run happened just after 11 in the 2500 block of West County Road.

Police say 14-year-old Pedro Olivas was riding his bike with another child when he was hit by a dark-colored dually truck.

Investigators think it may have been a Dodge.  

Olivas was flown to Lubbock where University Medical Center Reps say he is improving and in stable condition.
