Midland County Fire Could be Arson

The Texas Forest Services says all possible causes for the May 1st Price fire, except arson, have been ruled out.

MIDLAND COUNTY - The Texas Forest Service announced Saturday that the "Price" fire could be arson.

That fire burned 2,500 acres and seven structures, including three homes, back on May 1st in eastern Midland County. The fire also caused the closure of Interstate 20. The Texas Forest Services says all possible causes for the fire except arson have been ruled out.

As a result of interviews during the investigation, persons of interest have been identified. The investigation into the blaze has also led law enforcement officers to recover two stolen ATVs, impound a pick-up truck and arrest two people on drug related charges.

The Texas Forest Service is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person or people responsible for the Price fire.
