Two Arrested After Shots Fired in Midland

MIDLAND - New details on two people believed to be involved in a drive-by shooting Monday night in Midland.

17-year-old Kimberly Hernandez is out of jail. Her cohort 26-year-old Joe Rios remains behind bars on a $45,500 bond.

They were both arrested Monday night after leading police on a high speed chase.

Police spotted the couple while checking out a drive by shooting in the 1200 block of south Moran.

Offficers say they took off, but after several minutes the couple was caught after their car got flat tire in the 1600 block of Lamesa.

Rios has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a gun, and running from the cops.  

Hernandez was charged with evading detention.  

Police say the found the gun used in the drive-by in the couple's car.
