Some bad news for the former Lee High School football star Cedric Benson arose this weekend.

The Chicago running back was stopped on Lake Travis this past Saturday driving a boat filled with about 15 passengers while under the influence.

Benson failed the sobriety test, and shortly after had to be pepper sprayed and subdued while resisting arrest.  Benson was released from jail on a $14,000 bond on Sunday morning.

The 25-year-old Bears running back was a 1st round pick in 2005 after a stellar career at the University of Texas.
