PECOS COUNTY - Fire crews from the Texas Forest Service are still going head to head with a gigantic grassfire burning in Pecos County since Wednesday.
The fire has burned 97,000 acres and crews from the Texas Forest Service say it's only about 45 percent contained.
Crews spent the day cutting more fire lines, they're also burning some of the grass at those lines in an attempt to stop the fire. They're hopeful that by Sunday they'll have more of it out.
Since the fire started Wednesday, two firefighters were treated with minor injuries, but NewsWest Nine is told they're already back out fighting the fire.
