LOVINGTON, NEW MEXICO - The former Mayor of Lovington faces more legal troubles.

Hobbs Police arrested David Trujillo on charges of laundering more than 50,000 dollars, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Trujillo was released on bond, shortly after he arrested on Wednesday.

This is the third time the former Mayor has been put in handcuffs.

He was arrested in August and November of 2006 on fraud charges.

Those charges stem from an investigation into phony orders for cleaning supplies at the College of the Southwest where Trujillo once worked.
