MIDLAND - The man authorities say caused a Continental jet to be diverted to Midland International Airport last week will be in federal court on Thursday.
This will be the second court appearance for 44-year-old Arthur David Proskin of Albany, New York.
Proskin was in court on Monday where he was told the charges he's facing in connection with last Thursday's surprise landing.
Authorities say Proskin became a problem on a flight from Houston to Palm Springs, California after a flight attendant hit him in the leg with a beverage cart.
We're told the pilot decided to land the plane when he became worried about the safety of the staff and other passengers.
Thursday's hearing is a detention hearing which will determine if Proskin will be allowed to post bond or will be held over until his trial
