BREWSTER COUNTY - Firefighters are getting the upper hand on a fire that's been burning in Brewster County since last week.
So far, the Cathedral Fire has burned more than 22,000 acres.
The Texas Forest Service says they have the fire 55 percent contained, and plan to watch it for the rest of the day.
The blaze started by lightning between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
There have been ranch homes threatened by the fire, but firefighters were able to save them.
No one has been hurt.
