MIDLAND - The man who attacked a custodian at Washington Elementary last week is still on the loose.

The Midland ISD Employee sustained an arm injury and bruises.

M.I.S.D. says this is the first time in recent history they remember an employee being attacked on campus during a late night shift, but that's just what happened last Friday at Washington Elementary on east Wall Street.

Shortly after ten, a custodian was attacked, her purse and keys to the school were stolen, and she was beaten.

She sustained bruises and an arm injury.

NewsWest 9 spoke with M.I.S.D. on Tuesday and the employee is expected to make a full recovery and plans to return to work.

Police later found the keys on the campus.

This is an on-going investigation, and police don't have any suspects.

If you have any information about this case, you are asked to contact the Midland Police Separtment at 685-7110 or Midland CrimeStoppers at 694-TIPS.
