Trial for Former Records Clerk Marie Wilson Begins on Tuesday

BIG SPRING - The trial of a former Big Spring City Employee, accused of stealing thousands of dollars is set to begin on Tuesday.

The jury for the trial of former Records Clerk Marie Wilson was seated on Monday.

According to prosecutors, Wilson stole deposits made to the City dating all the way back to December of 2000.

She was fired back in November, but wasn't arrested until December.

She's officially charged with theft of more than $20,000 by a public servant.

If she's convicted, Wilson faces 2 to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
