Authorities said a Monahans Coach was up to no good online, and it landed him in the slammer.

The Head Softball Coach for Monahans Loboes was arrested Friday morning for soliciting a minor on the internet. And that's getting a big reaction from many parents. NewsWest 9 went to the Loboes game in Coahoma Friday night to see how fans are feeling about what happened to their head coach.

On Friday night, it was about playing ball in Coahoma for the Loboes, but the Monahans Head Coach going to jail is still on the minds of a lot of people we talked to. This is all after 37-year-old Michael David Parker has been charged with online solicitation of a minor and sexually explicit conversations.

It's important to note he was busted on a warrant out of Colin County in North Texas, not in Monahans. But wherever he was arrested, a lot of parents are saying they still worry about their child's safety. However, because the news broke Friday morning, a lot of parents are also saying they don't really want to talk about this until more details are released.

In addition to being the Head Coach for the High School Softball Team, Parker is also the Assistant Principal at the Junior High. Right now, we know a lot of those details have not been released about the case. The judge has sealed the details. However, NewsWest 9 will continue to follow this story as we learn more.
