MIDLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - A Continental express jet, loaded with passengers, makes an unscheduled stop, because of an unruly passenger.
It's very rare for a passenger plane to make a diversion to Midland International so that may give you an idea of just how unruly this passenger may have been.
NewsWest 9 has learned the plane had left Houston, and was headed to Palm Springs, California.
The man reportedly became unstable and unruly, and the pilot decided that he was a threat to the staff, so he made a stop here on the way to California.
We did see police escort the man upstairs at the Airport, but we haven't heard yet what charges he's facing.
NewsWest 9 spoke with several airport workers, one of them who has been stationed at the airport for 12 years, and she says she can't remember a passenger plane making a diversion for an unruly passenger.
Keep it tuned to NewsWest Nine as we continue to follow this developing story.
