PERMIAN BASIN - Severe Weather hit the Basin on Wednesday bringing with it numerous watches and warnings across the area.

NewsWest 9 received a report of a possible tornado southwest of Snyder.

Minor Damage has been reported by our NewsWest 9 photographer in the area on Wednesday.  Large tree limbs were broken in the Towle Park area of Snyder.   Small metal buildings were reportedly blown around by the storm.  Power lines were reported down in the area.  The tornado sirens did go off in town.

Our Photographer who was in Snyder on Wednesday also reported that some apartments in Snyder sustained minor roof damage.  He also says trees were uprooted.

NewsWest9 viewers Oscar and Mareya Natividad captured a tornado on video in rural Gaines County, just south of Seminole on Highway 385. The tornado touched down near the highway around 4:00 p.m.
