ECTOR COUNTY- An undercover minor failed to score booze, at ten different Ector County convenience stores. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission sent a teenager along with an agent to attempt to purchase beer. Agents say it's an effort to deter store clerks from selling to anyone under 21.
TABC agents say voluntary compliance is the goal and after ten stops in Ector County, they are happy with the results.
The teenager was denied at Wal-Mart on JBS and several other convenient stores around town.
Stores that sell to minors can face up to a $4,000 dollar fine, and the clerk can face fines and criminal charges.
