KERMIT - The first meth bust in the Permian Basin happened Tuesday night at a home on Sherwood Street in Kermit.

HazMat crews continue to clean up the dangerous chemicals there.

Debra Stewart was arrested after the Kermit Police Department and the Winkler County Sheriff's Office raided the home, and found the drug making lab.

Authorities also busted William Smith.

He was arrested at a home, located on the 800 block of south Avenue "D" after they found methamphetamines at that home.

Both have been charged with manufacturing a control substance and possession of chemicals for the manufacture of a control substance.
