Midland Man Pleads Guilty to January Bank Robbery

MIDLAND - A Midland man facing federal prison time after he pleads guilty to a January bank robbery.

According to the United States Attorney Office, 25-year-old Eric Andrew Rios admitted to robbing Community National Bank in Midland, back in January.

Rios confessed to walking into the bank, handed a teller a note saying this a robbery and threatened to shoot.

When the teller didn't move fast enough, he yelled the threat again.

Rios ran off with $3,000 in cash, but he didn't get far before he was arrested.

When police busted him, they recovered the cash, and a pellet gun, cops say looked like the real thing.

Now, Rios is waiting to be sentenced, he could face up to 20 years behind bars, and a $250,000 fine.
