ANDREWS - "It's unbelievable, I never thought this would happen to us."
Yvonne Riordan's worse nightmare came to life Thursday when her home was completely destroyed by the blaze that broke near Hwy 385 in Andrews.
"I broke down this morning, because I kept thinking why our house, why was it just our house and nobody elses?" Riordan said.
Her home was the only one occupied that was destroyed.
A welding shed, a barn, and 2 empty homes were also consumed by the flames.
"It's a total loss, but you know we have each other, and we have our family and friends and we'll be okay," she said.
Although this family lost everything in the fire, one thing they did not lose was their faith.
"I guess it's God taking care of me, I never looked at things in life, and this is just another stepping stone I have to get over We'll be ok," Riordan said.
For now, this is all they can do.
"Pick up a few things we need for the week, and then start over again."
