ANDREWS - They're tallying up the damages in Andrews County after a massive grassfire flared up on Thursday.

A welding shed, a barn, and 2 empty homes were all destroyed.

The Andrews Fire Chief, Joe Harper, told NewsWest 9 the fire is now contained, but crews are still working to put out hot spots in the area.

Investigators say the fire started west on Highway 115 and quickly spread across to South 385.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what stared the flames, and how many acres were scortched.
