Lea County Investigators Arrest a Woman on Murder Charges

LEA COUNTY, NEW MEXICO - Lea County investigators have arrested a woman on murder charges.

After searching all day, they found 35-year-old Evelyn Compo Warden.

She's accused of killing Julius Morro.

Investigators found Morro dead in a home on south Eunice Highway.

So far they haven't said how he was killed.

Compo is being held on a one million dollar bond on charges of murder and tampering with evidence.

Murro's body has been sent to Albuquerque for an autopsy.
