BIG SPRING - Sparks from power lines to blame for starting a big fire in Howard County that destroyed two homes on Monday.
The Texas Forest Service says the blaze burned about 300 acres.
Dozens were evacuated as the fire threatened about 200 homes.
In addition to the two homes burned, another home sustained heavy damage to its roof.
Several firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
