HOWARD COUNTY - Authorities are saying a 271 acre grass fire in Howard County, Thursday started when a driver parked a car on tall grass. Jan Amen of the Texas Forest Service says a catalytic converter started the fire just south of town.

Jan Amen of the Texas Forest Service says a catalytic converter started the fire just south of town.

The fire tore through two mobile homes, seven cars, and several other buildings.
