ODESSA - Even though normal tuition fees are rising at UTPB, the cost of going to school in the summer just went down.
University President David Watts announced on Friday that they are cutting Summer tuition costs in half this year in hopes of boosting Summer enrollment.
"We've had this idea in mind for some time and we've just felt on the heels of the announcement of the tuition increase, we felt like it was the time to announce the jumpstart tuition scholarship for Summer 2008," UTPB President David Watts, said.
So far, there are forty possible courses offered for this summer.
The discount only applies to Freshman and Sophomore level classes.
The funds to make this price cut possible came from State and private donors.
