Midland and Odessa Lead the State in Unemployment Numbers

MIDLAND/ODESSA - While much of the nation is suffering through an economic downturn Texas continues to enjoy growth.

And once again, Odessa and Midland lead the State in unemployment.

The state's unemployment rate declined in February to 4.1%, that's down from 4.3% in January.

Texas employers added more than 13,000 new jobs.

The Midland/Odessa area fueled by oil and gas production continues to top the list for low unemployment.

Midland is now at 2.6% while Odessa comes in at 3.1%.
