AUSTIN - New information on the investigation into Big Spring Superintendent Michael Downes.
NewsWest 9 has learned, the State is moving forward with his case.
The Texas Education Agency met with Downes and his lawyer Tuesday.
On the table allegations of sexual misconduct stemming from his time as a teacher in a panhandle school.
Debbie Ratliff, with the T.E.A., says the case against Downes is substantial enough to be referred to the States legal team.
Ratliff says at this point, a plea pargain is unlikely, and the legal team is moving forward with the case.
