Roswell Man Killed After Weekend Wreck in Lea County

LEA COUNTY, NEW MEXICO - A Roswell man is dead after a weekend wreck in Lea County, New Mexico.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon, along U.S. 380, north of Hobbs.

According to New Mexico State Police, 46-year old Arthur Woodruff was driving west when he ran into the back of a water truck that had slowed down to make a right turn.

Woodruff was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, 51-year-old Luann Woodruff was airlifted to Lubbock, and is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the water truck was not hurt in the crash.
