New Top Cop in Hobbs

HOBBS - The Deputy Police Chief in Franklin, Tennessee, has been hired as Police Chief in Hobbs.  Joseph Sanders is to begin his new job April 7th.

Hobbs City Manager Eric Honeyfield Says sanders will be paid $100,000 a year.  Sanders replaces Johnny Gonzales, who retired as Hobbs police chief last august.

Sanders has 27 years experience in law enforcement, including jobs as police chief in Columbus, Mississippi, and in Martin, Tennessee.
