The Odessa Police Departmet's Volunteer in Policing program is accepting applications for their upcoming class scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. The classes will be held at the Odessa Police Department's Training Classroom.
Class times will be from 6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. Tuesday, March 25th, 2008, Thursday, March 27th, 2008 and Saturday, March 29th, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. You must attend all three classes.
Applications are available at the Odessa Police Department or online at www.odessapd.com. No fees are required. The classes are taught by Odessa Police Officers along with support staff to train potential citizens to be volunteers within the police department and the community. The prerequisite for attending this class is that the volunteer must attend and graduate an upcoming Citizens Police Academy.
