HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Police are cracking down on drunk drivers in Hobbs.
Five extra patrol officers spent the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. searching the streets for drivers who may have had too many drinks before hitting the road.
It's a part of a program funded by the State of New Mexico to crack down on DWI's.
Police picked up three drunk drivers on Saturday night.
In March, they plan to set up a driver checkpoint.
