Suspect Sought in Dowling Elementary Chase

ODESSA - Odessa Police still searching for a suspect who tried to hide from the cops by running into an Elementary school.

The two men ended up at Dowling Elementary asking to use the school's phone.

According to investigators, they were spotted by a neighbor burglarizing a house near the school.

That neighbor called police and followed them.

The two became suspicious, allegedly dumped the stolen property, and ducked into the Elementary pretending to use the phone.

The school staff became suspicious and questioned them.

That's when they ran.

Police caught one of the men, 21 year old Jim Wiley McDonald.

He was charged with burglary and evading arrested.

McDonald was also wanted by police on a burglary warrant.

Police are still searching for the other suspect.

He's described as a white man, about 5 foot seven with dark hair.
