PECOS - Drugs uncovered close to Pecos schools leads to two busts in town.

Police arrested 17 year old Jose Chavez at his home on Missouri Street.

He faces drug charges after investigators say they found cocaine and digital scales in his bedroom, along with 3-thousand in cash.

Officers say those scales are commonly used to weigh the drugs.

Since he lives close to a school, he also faces charges of having dope within one thousand feet of a school.

In a separate bust, 39 year old Eloisa Gonzalez Baeza, and 27 year old Sergio Baeza were arrested for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

And it's a similar story.

Officers say they found cocaine in their bedroom at their home on west Second Street, along with cocaine in their car.

They too face extra charges since they live within a thousand feet of a school.
