WEST TEXAS - Is there tainted beef in your child's lunchroom?

So far, no reports of any cases here in West Texas.

But on Tuesday, Round Rock School Officials have put hundreds of cases of meat on hold.

The Humane Society raised questions about a slaughterhouse in California that supplies many Texas School districts.

There are allegations that Westland Hallmark, used sick cattle in some of their products, and treated the animals inhumanely.

But as of newstime, the U.S.D.A. says the meat is safe and wholesome.
