HOWARD COUNTY - Firefighters in the Basin are gearing up for another busy day, after multiple grassfires sparked up all over parts of West Texas on Sunday.
One of the biggest, in Howard County, where firefighters spent over 6 hours trying to tackle a huge blaze some estimate stretched a mile long.
Members of the Howard County Volunteer Fire Department say they got the call around 11:30 Sunday Morning, and were still trying to put out lots of hot spots by the evening.
No word on what could have started the fire just west of Big Spring.
There were at least 8 to 10 units sent out with over 20 firefighters working the fire.
Luckily, there are no injuries reported.
