New Baggage Policy For Southwest Airlines Customers

Staff Report
NewsWest 9

Starting this week, Southwest Airlines is changing their baggage policy.

In the past, you were allowed three bags for free.

Now it's just two.

It will cost $25 Dollars to check the the third bag.

Bags weighing more than 50 pounds are also subject to additional charges.

There are exceptions.

However, passengers may check two baby items, such as a stroller and a car seat and it will only count as one bag.

Check with the airline before you travel if you are taking more than two bags per person.
