Pecos High School Student Recovering After Accident in Pecos

A member of the Pecos High School Dive Team remains hospitalized after a bizarre crash that left him impaled.

As of newstime, 16 year old Hector Roman Jr., remains in stable condition in the I.C.U. At Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

We're told doctors have removed the three inch pipe that went through his chest during the accident.

It happened Thursday night on "F" Street and north Alberta in Pecos at around nine.

Roman reportedly was dropping off a friend, and fell asleep just before crashing into a metal fence.
